Week Notes forMay 24 - 30 (#101)
It was a short week at work and generally uneventful outside a book event Thursday.
Becky Aikman Book Event
On Thursday my wife and I ventured to Wayne for dinner and then a book event at the Radnor library. Becky Aikman was there for a talk about her book Spitfires: The American Women Who Flew in the Face of Danger During World War II. It was an interesting talk and an interesting topic and true story that I didn't know about. Hearing Becky talk about how she pieced together the story from diaries and ancestors was fascinating and I'm looking forward to reading the book.
Writing More
My goal for the year was 350,000 words total across blog posts, stories, and anything else. Needless to say, I am well behind that goal. I have been spending the time this week to get words to paper and have started to gain some focus which had always been my problem.
Finished Malcolm in the Middle
Over the last few months, my wife and I have been watching Malcolm in the Middle. We finished this past week and watched it's short reboot. It was entertaining, and was my first introduction to Bryan Cranston. The reboot was shorter than I expected. It was only four half-hour episodes. I don't know what I expected, but it was not drawn out which I can appreciate and it still had it's laughs.
