It was a quiet week.

Free Weekend

For the first time in a little while, we have a weekend with nothing going on. No plans, nothing...it's great. I spent Saturday writing, working on my data repository, and lifting. Today will probably be more of the same. It's nice to just sometimes veg with nothing to do.

Widow's Bay

My wife and I started Widow's Bay Saturday night. I hadn't heard of it, but she said it was a mix of horror and humor with a Stephen King style. We're two episodes in and I definitely get the horror vibes. I've enjoyed it so far.

Cooking

Homestyle Chicken Curry

I found this recipe in a Food Network magazine and I decided to be a little adventurous. The aroma during and after cooking was great, but the dish itself felt like it was missing something. I've also never had curry, so I don't really have anything to compare against. It was also definitely a weekend meal as it took a little more time than I would prefer weeknight meals to take. One could probably speed up cooking by microwaving the potatoes for 7-10 minutes prior to putting them in.
