Week Notes forAugust 30 - September 5 (#114)

It's been a quiet, but fun week.

Hockey Practice

I managed to rent one of the rinks at the rink I play at for the Bombers. We did some drills for a bit then had a fun scrimmage for the rest. It was fun to get some exercise, hang out with teammates and keep the hockey skills fresh between seasons.

Writing

I wanted to make some more progress on my novel so I set a goal for September to write at least 500 words towards it every day. My blogging might take a slight hit, but I want to keep progress moving on the novel as well and feel like 500 words is a good target.

Taking Tess Out on the Town

Saturday ended up having some really nice weather. We decided to try taking Tess out into Phoenixville for a day outing. We had taken her a couple of times to a local brewery that's dog friendly to see how she handled being out in crowds, but the place sadly closed so we decided to just dive right into the big pool as Phoenixville tends to be busy on summer weekends. They close off the Main Street to cars allowing for more pedestrian traffic.

We figured we'd go in for a drink and to walk around. We'd be able to leave early if it proved to be too much for her. Tess handled it great. She was well behaved and allowed us to have a drink, shop some, and even have dinner. We were proud of her.
